Fin, Die Ende, The End…

The Yardies have finished the final shipping crate, flame style… and alas that is the end of The Yard for 2011.

Keep an eye out for the shipping crates around the CBD, or come check them out on Roe Street.

Project 2

The Yard has set in its sights the task of designing and painting three shipping crates currently situated on Roe street in Northbridge (cnr Milligan street).

Design: In an effort to work with the surface of the shipping crates, the theme ‘ripples’ emerged with each crate focussing on a different ripple element: water ripples, sand/tree bark ripples, and fire ripples

The paint job: Is huge, incorporating not only the sides but the top of the shipping crates, which can be viewed from the ‘air’ or the walk/cycle bridge across the road!!

The top of the ‘water ripples’ crate is just underway making for some interesting viewing!! - from Saturday 10am.
